Wild, Wonderful West Virginia recently announced the seven grand-prize winners of the “You Remind Me of West Virginia” photo contest.

“The first time I heard Wyatt Turner’s song, ‘You Remind Me of West Virginia,’ I knew this was a great opportunity to promote the beauty of our wild, wonderful state and its people,” Commissioner of Tourism Amy Shuler Goodwin said. “Thank you to everyone who shared their cherished photos, memories and stories with us.”

“I’m honored that my song inspired so many wonderful tributes to friends and family.  The submissions for the ‘You Remind Me of West Virginia’ photo contest showed me how devoted the people of West Virginia are to their beautiful home state,” said Wyatt Turner. “Congratulations to the winners, and thanks to all who participated.”

The grand-prize packages—provided by the Bavarian Inn, Café Cimino, Charleston Convention and Visitors Bureau, Parkersburg Convention and Visitors Bureau, The Greenbrier, Tucker County Convention and Visitors Bureau and Wheeling Convention and Visitors Bureau—included  dinner and a two-night stay.  The grand prize winners are:

The grand-prize winners were randomly drawn and announced during an event February 14 at the Purple Fiddle in Thomas, WV.  Wyatt Turner, a native of Cass, WV, presented the prizes and performed at the event.
