West Virginia State University’s (WVSU) Department of Business and Social Sciences will host a “Spring Tune-Up for Your Small Business” workshop Friday, April 27, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the University’s Erickson Alumni Center on campus. The event is free to attend.

“This workshop, open to all small business types, is designed to help entrepreneurs access the skills and information needed to take their business to the next level,” said Deborah Williams, interim dean of WVSU’s College of Business and Social Sciences.

Sessions include Big Business Marketing on a Small Business Budget, Money for My Business, and an overview of the tax and legal requirements associated with business management.

Representatives from the West Virginia Secretary of State’s Office, the U.S. Small Business Administration and the Charleston Area Alliance will present during the daylong event. Small business owners will be on hand to share their own experiences, victories and challenges. Lunch will be provided.

Registration is required and is available online.
