The New River Gorge Regional Development Authority (NRGRDA) Board of Directors has launched a search for its new Executive Director, posting on its website the qualifications and call for interested applicants.

Specifically, the NRGRDA seeks a visionary, entrepreneurial, and experienced Executive Director to lead West Virginia’s most prominent regional economic development organization. The Executive Director is responsible for strategic leadership, organizational management, resource development, partnership cultivation, financial health and regional economic advancement across Fayette, Nicholas, Raleigh, and Summers Counties. This role requires strong communication and leadership skills, exceptional analytical abilities, innovative problem-solving and a willingness to take initiative to deliver exceptional service to businesses, local governments, and communities in the four-county region.
Ted Kula, NRGRDA Board Member and House Committee chair, is spearheading the NRGRDA Executive Director search. “The NRGRDA board works closely with the Executive Director to ensure the priorities for each of the four member counties are met. We are excited for this next chapter of NRGRDA,” says Kula.
Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis, with a preference given to applications submitted by August 31. The NRGRDA Board hopes to fill the position by September 30, 2026.
