Together We Can Knock Out Breast Cancer is the theme for University Healthcare’s upcoming discount mammogram clinics to be held in May at the Women’s Imaging Centers at both Berkeley Medical Center in Martinsburg and Jefferson Medical Center in Ranson.
These special digital mammography clinics, featuring 3D breast tomosynthesis (tomo) technology, will be held each Saturday in May except May 24 (Memorial Day Weekend). Berkeley Medical Center will offer the clinics from 8 am until 3:30 pm, and Jefferson Medical Center will offer clinics from 8 am until 3:00 pm.
Screening mammograms will be offered at a discounted community service fee of $60 (cash, check or credit card only) which includes the test and the interpretation by a radiologist. University Healthcare’s discounted mammogram program is open to anyone age 35 and older.
Although a physician’s order is not required to participate in the mammogram clinics, any patients without a physician will be assigned a physician to receive the test results. All patients participating in the screening mammogram clinics must register in advance.
At Jefferson Medical Center, the Women’s Imaging Center is located across the street from the medical center’s main entrance. At Berkeley Medical Center, the Women’s Imaging Center is located in the Tennessee Avenue medical office building across the street from the medical center campus.
