For the seventh year running, Budget Travel magazine is looking to uncover the top 10 standout communities across the country. Does your hometown or favorite getaway have what it takes to make the cut? Think Buckhannon, WV does? Then vote for them in this exciting contest.
Nominations are open until October 15th.
The town must have a population under 10,000. It also needs that indescribable something: independent shops, a sense of energy, an epic backyard, culture, delicious coffee. In other words, cool doesn’t necessarily mean quaint: We want towns with an edge and a heart.
After nominations are closed, the editors at Budget Travel will review nominations, along with any other gems they discover on their own, to narrow the list to 10 finalists using votes as a guide, but also focusing on diversity in geography, attractions, architecture, and more. The top 10 finalists will be posted, then voting for a winner will commence in January. The winner will be featured in a late summer issue of Budget Travel magazine.
