Anthony P. Zelenka, FACHE, president and chief operating officer at University Health care Berkeley Medical Center, has been recertified as a Fellow in the American College of Health care Executives (ACHE), an international professional society representing over 40,000 health care executives.

Zelenka, who has more than 35 years of health care management experience, first achieved Fellow status in 1983. Fellow status is the highest level of professional achievement in ACHE. Currently, only 9,100 health care executives in the nation hold this distinction.

“Recertification represents an individual’s continued achievement in meeting high standards of professional development and excellence as a health care executive,” stated Cynthia A. Hahn, ACHE’s senior vice president of member services. “By participating in an ongoing program of involvement in professional affairs, Mr. Zelenka has demonstrated his commitment to maintaining a high level of professionalism in health care management.”

As an ACHE Fellow, Zelenka is privileged to use the letters “FACHE” after his name in all professional communications, indicating that he is board certified in health management.
