Mon Health offering free skin cancer screenings

The Mon Health Zelda Stein Weiss Cancer Awareness and Early Detection Project is offering free skin cancer screenings for the community this spring.

Appointments are required and can be made by calling the Mon Health Medical Center community wellness office at 304-285-2730.

The following dates and locations are available in Morgantown:

  • Friday, May 4, 8-10 a.m. – Dr. Kenneth Hardy, Pineview Dermatology, 1311 Pineview Drive, Suite 200
  • Monday, May 7, 5-7 p.m. – Dr. William Hall, Hall Dermatology LLC, 400 Drummond St.
  • Tuesday, May 8, 4:30-6 p.m. – Dr. Rola Gharib, Dermatology Center for Skin Health, 600 Suncrest Towne Centre, Suite 115
  • Friday, May 11, 9-11 a.m. – Dr. Mary Hall, Mon Health Dermatology, 1000 Mon Health Medical Park Drive, Suite 1000
  • Monday, May 14, 2:30-4 p.m. – Dr. Michele Maouad, Dermatology Center for Skin Health, 600 Suncrest Towne Centre, Suite 115
  • Monday, May 14, 5-7 p.m. – Dr. William Hall, Hall Dermatology LLC, 400 Drummond St.
  • Thursday, May 17, 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. – Dr. Amy Norton, Mountain State Dermatology, 165 Scott Ave.

“We’re so happy that Mon Health physicians have once again generously donated their time and office space to provide these free screenings,” said Karol Koast, Mon Health community health coordinator. “Skin cancer is the most common type of cancer and the easiest to cure if diagnosed and treated early.”
