WVNCC’s Academic Support Center to host Lunch and Learn topic on Depression and Anxiety

West Virginia Northern Community College’s (WVNCC) Academic Support Center will host a No Stigma Attached Lunch and Learn on Tuesday, April 17, 2018, from noon – 1 p.m. on their Wheeling Campus. The event will focus on anxiety and depression. The event, which includes lunch, is free and open to the public.

West Virginia Northern Community College’s Director of Human Services and Early Childhood, Kathy Herrington, will speak on anxiety and depression, including the most common anxiety disorders, their symptoms and treatments. She will also be sharing new approaches to treating anxiety and depression. Herrington has a Master’s degree in Developmental Psychology as well as a Master’s degree in Communication. In addition to being a professor at WVNCC she is also a licensed social worker.

Anyone wishing to attend the free Lunch and Learn must register ahead of time by calling 304-214-8923 or emailing asc@wvncc.edu. The B&O Building is located at 1704 Market St. Wheeling, W.VA. The event will take place in the Auditorium.
