TMC Technologies of West Virginia (TMC), a leading edge technology solution provider is proud to announce it has expanded its team, hiring three to support various missions at NASA’s Katherine Johnson Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) Program in Fairmont.

The three people hired are Senior Systems Engineer Gage Mazurowski, Information Assurance Engineer Chad Thomas, and Junior Systems Engineer Michael Durst.

Originally from Colorado Springs, CO; Gage Mazurowski graduated from Georgia Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Aerospace Engineering.  As a senior system engineer, he’ll perform independent verification and validation of the Orion Deep Space Mission flight software.  The Orion Deep Space Mission is part of the SAIC’s Systems and Software Assurance Services (SAS) contract.  TMC is a subcontractor to SAIC under the SAS contract.

“I am glad to have an opportunity through TMC Technologies to support the Orion mission at NASA’s IV&V facility,” Mazurowski said.  “I hope to make a difference in the next generation of NASA’s manned spaceflight programs.”

Chad Thomas grew up in Metz, WV and graduated from Fairmont State University earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in Information Systems Management.  He spent more than two decades working as a civil servant for the federal government before deciding to join the TMC team.

“Following 22 years of federal service, I am happy to work for a locally owned company while still serving a federal program,” Thomas said.  “I look forward to helping TMC expand support for NASA’s cyber security operations.”

Michael Durst, who grew up in the northern Monongalia County town of Pentress, WV, graduated from West Virginia University’s Benjamin M. Statler College of Engineering and Mineral Resources with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Aerospace Engineering recently.  Durst spent the better part of his senior year as an intern with TMC where he worked on various programs at the IV&V Program in Fairmont.  Durst followed the Intern-to-Hire track many current TMC leading edge technologists participated in.

“Having worked with the team at NASA for a little more than a year I am happy to continue my work as a full time employee,” Durst said referring to his internship.  “I have always loved NASA and TMC has given me a great opportunity to work with them.”

“We are proud to expand our team working at NASA’s Katherine Johnson IV&V Program in Fairmont,” TMC President and CEO Wade Linger said.  “Their individual backgrounds and experiences will further expand TMC’s ability to provide mission-critical solutions for our NASA partner.”

TMC currently provides leading edge technology solutions to the FBI Criminal Justice Information Services center in Clarksburg; NASA’s Katherine Johnson Independent Verification & Validation (IV&V) facility in Fairmont, and the Naval Surface Warfare Center’s (NSWC) at Dahlgren, VA and Crane, IN.
